CHAPTER 7
We found a safe spot and camped; it was an abandoned building halfway demolished but still livable considering our situation. It was already late at night so, we decided to sleep to give our body the energy it needed for tomorrow, as we needed to search the area for food or anything of importance. I woke up to the sound of commotion and decided to check out what was happening with the hopes that it had nothing to do with savages. Apparently, 6 people were gone! Things kept running through my mind.
“Were they kidnapped by the savages”?
“Do we have someone with ulterior motives in the group”?
“Did they run away”?
But if they did why? People were a lot safer in larger groups. They were gone with no traces to find out what happened. There were no traces of bloods around, or anything suspicious. Now our numbers have drastically decreased. We were twenty but with the deaths that we had, we became eleven then, thankfully with the new six new members we became seventeen but now eleven.
