A New Beginning (Chapter 6)

CHAPTER 6

We tried to avoid quiet empty places as they were the endangered regions. We needed to avoid savages. Staying in a place with a larger population was difficult for them to attack. Irrespective of that, we stayed in a small quiet environment which our new members were quite familiar with. David wanted to camp someplace else, which I completely understood but we didn’t have time to be fussy. We needed safety from the sandstorm coming; irrespective of larger population environment being safe from savages, during times of crisis it was horrible and unsafe. Everyone running around pushing one another to find safety and even worse, stampede. I saw someone’s brains as their head was badly smashed up after being stepped on multiple times. We approached the town warily and slowly as we passed by abandoned buildings. No one was around, so I kept an eye out for any sign of life. All silence.
