Ballad of a Raped Childhood

Let me tell you all about a little girl named Lory

Who has a very depressing story

Lory was living on the streets

Before she even learned to tie her cleats

While girls her age were mostly spunky

She was slowly turning into a junkie

She was putting death into her vein

Because that was the only way to stop her pain

Lory’s pain was not of any kind

Crimes committed against her can’t be of mankind

At the age of 10 lory was raped until she ran

By none other than her old man

The poor little kid started using heroin

It was the only cure that can make her feel better in

Buying a drug like this is not that cheap

Especially for girl that doesn’t have somewhere to sleep

So how can a girl like her afford to buy poison?

Lory’s only solution was to let all the boys in

Taking all her dignity for a piece of paper

For Lory it became normal after living with a raper

I guess we can’t blame her for living in the street

When her only other choice is living with a beast

Can we blame her for getting poison into her system?

When all her life she’s been nothing but a victim

If we take a moment to think about Lory

We will find a thousand other girls with the same story

Whose only source of income is to sell pleasure

And use drugs so that they avoid pressure

If we dig deeper we’ll find they all have been pushed to this life

If they are alive, doesn’t mean they have a life

Who are we to blame them for what they do to live

If only they had a life, they would be alive
