I once was so lost, so alone
A gigantic gap in my life
One question: how to make it right?
I dug to find a way to faith
The path they say “makes you live”
Reaching the doorstep of that holy place for the first time
I felt a warmth that I had never known
Tears, grasps, goosebumps and joy
I knew that I had found the way to make it right
I started to read and learn more
About the faith that I had ignored
The deeper I dug, the more I found
I felt so grateful for this blessing
And I knew that my spirits would lift
I felt the peace that comes with knowing
And my love for Allah started growing
I started to pray and feel the grace
And I knew that I had found the way to make it right
I felt my soul start to shine
And I knew that everything would be purified
So now I stand here, grateful and strong
Knowing that I have been given a bond
With my faith and my Lord
brought to that blessed light
