Wishes

I wish ruling was a female game

Pride, tears, heartbreak could be reclaimed

How dare you touch her, smash her, crush her with no tiny bit of shame

Are we masochists or happy slaves long used to being tamed?

I wish we weren’t always the one to blame

Just cause we have a vagina, born with a goofy brain

I wish I could burn their stone cold hearts with the singing flame

Lightening this beautiful cigarette, this guilty misbecame

I wish we weren’t less than because of feminine birth names

Because of the long hair, murdered appetite, unvoiced featherbrain

I wish the goddess wasn’t withhold by Man chieftain

Pregnant bellies worshiped, Life was no overstrain

I wish Virgin Marry wouldn’t be dying of pain

Seeing her daughters mercilessly slain

By the tough hands of a man who’s nothing but vain

So rugged so drastic so cruel to let her complain

Nothing will melt that iced soul, not even the rattlebrain

The revenge temptation is boiling in my veins

I wish our lavish emotions could freeze, only firmness remains

I ain’t doing laundry tonight, tomorrow, or any other day

I ain’t wearing lingerie; ain’t smiling to you from my broken window pane

When you’re back from work, craving cupcakes baked with gloom grain

You’re not a maid, not a maiden, not a plain Jane

You’re not a whore, not a miss, not a dishonor stain

This is a man’s world a drunken once sung on a stage of disdain

A woman brought you here, fed you milk from the breasts you mock. It is mundane

A woman stayed up healing that tiny broken leg from a boy ballgame

Show some respect, if not to her, to your soul drenched in inherited shame

I wish you get it

Or should I reframe?

Terrifying Ceiling

On the fierce windy night
I took some psychic pills to sleep
(This- was-long time ago)
On my lonely bed, I lie
Looking at the ceiling
I see hands wigging and fighting
And trying to touch me
I feel they are trying to convey a message
But I was like a drunk person
I closed my eyes
I pretended nothing happened
I open my eyes again
It is true, nothing happened

The ceiling was clear
I tried to remember what I saw
And then suddenly
String Fire inflammation in my ceiling
Fighting and trying to burn me
I feel it is trying to convey a message
But I was like a drunk person
I thought this was a haunted house
I went through the door, harmless ghosts staring at me
With feet that make no sound upon the floors
I meet them on the stairs
Along the hall, they come and go
Instantly,
A white bright light flashed in my eyes
I closed them
5-minutes passed
I opened them
I was trying to worry
“What a scary night?”
I saw the ceiling again
Worrying what is going to happen next
But it was only the reflection of wigging trees
I realised that all of this was due to the psychic pills

Those pills made me drunk

And I started imagining hand, eyes, fire

“What a scary night?”

Oh to Be a Woman

To be a woman

To fight for your mere existence

Don’t dress like that! Sit like a lady!

How dare you show resistance?!

Be polite, do not act shady

Smile a bit, you look too tense

Be breathtaking

Catch a husband soon

You’d be so talented at baking

Why study hard?

You won’t be traveling to the moon

Are you tired of this training?

You only graduate with a ring

Do not daydream of independence

Or dare to grow a wing

Daydream only of being a housewife

And the bearing of a child you shall bring

Life has a norm and this is your life

It is a blessing!

How dare you say you feel a sting?

Your life has been already determined

From the moment the nurse announced

“It’s a girl!”

You say you’d treat her like a pearl

Yet it isn’t what you’re doing

Oh to be a woman

Curses

I curse you with this sinful yet sanctifying fever

The longing that you killed when you winked at the hunger

When you crucified an eager in a languishing desire

I curse you with the moans that were locked in the chamber

With the kiss that you left still jailed in the ardor

I curse you with the scent of a clingy naughty whisper

With the handicapped lust, with the gasping admire

I curse you with the love that was buried in the fire

When still under the spell fully plugged with the wire

You were tender like a thunder to the yearning that you tire

I curse you with the patience and the passion and the mire

I curse you with the cuddle that would make me entire

That will cure the hangover that will make me less a crier

I curse you with the blood that you sucked you vampire

I curse you with the drama our story did require

I curse you with the nights when you thought I’m a liar

With the callous little heart that was once my empire

I curse you with the win, with the liberated flier

I curse you with the warmth, with the promise made prior

With the cold, with the loss, with the ashes after fire

Being a Woman

The word woman is not sacred, nor is it the most beautiful, nor does it need more help and respect, nor anything else …

For years and centuries, this beautiful and respected name, has been suppressed, humiliated and discriminated.

I do not need to receive special help, nor more respect, nor be the first person to move forward, nor immediately rush to my aid when I am just working, no matter how heavy and big I am, or any other issue. I am a woman, the only human being who does not need any special guardian, support or help. I am a woman, the only and only human being, simple as this.

I am a woman, a human being, a beautiful woman.

Being a woman

Wants the greatness of the soul!

My tears are not a symbol of my weakness

Femininity means loving you with all you are.

From far away … far … and so far, …

Yes, I am a woman, but not an oppressed of history

I curse this damn thing

That worries me day and night

Not to being myself, but to stay a girl !!!

I curse that, I always hide behind the veil of virginity that forgets the virginity of my thoughts and gaze.

Even if you are the strongest woman in the world, there are times when a hand must touch you,

Heat your body … and taste your lips.

What does it matter that I have never slept in the arms of a man?

Judgments of today

Execution, stoning

Suffocating the shouts of protest

Has taken my virginity from me

I’m a single woman

I dress as I like

Red, yellow, orange, I put makeup, sometimes thick

I dance – sometimes slowly, sometimes fast,

I laugh out loud, without caring of what others think of me

Hijabi – Free Verse

Hijabi!
BinAdam Keedaira.
Beware!
Cause we can’t see her hair.
We can’t see her skin.
She’s got something to hide.
Suspicious !
What’s she got under there?

Pull it off!
Take it off!
You’re no different than us.
You’re not special, not precious
Let your radiance collect dust
Cause we’re all rusted
Unworthy and hell-bound
Stop deluding yourself
Your cloth is no crown, for a head
In which, should reside only lust

So you’re happy, content
In your coverup
We hate you for freedom from
Not needing us
You don’t need validation
From the muck and the mire
Allah’s favor is all you desire
So you don’t cast your pearls
Amongst the swine
And your abandoned devotion
Will never be mine

So we hate you
For your self-righteous high road
Your self-proclaimed straight path
Cause you kept your body untold
We revile you for your Surat Al Mustaqim
The like, thereof, we’ve never seen
Said the demon, said the bigot,
said the so-called believer-in-between

A rock and a hard place
Can’t decide what’s true, what’s lies
Society or a God I’ve never seen
But you’ve seen Him
In your darkest hour of deep despair
He woke you up the next morning
From the night you couldn’t bear
He made you distinguish the high road
From the low
He made you envious of the pure-hearted
In an attempt to make faith grow

Hijabi!
Beware!
Those stares and those hateful comments
Just might expose
The weak one lacking faith
Needing a place to call home
So don’t shrivel in sadness from their
hateful speech
Shine a smile of radiance their direction
Your charity, to them, will reach
Your hijab plants a seed of redemption
A refuge they may one day beseech
