In a creative writing class I did enroll,<\/p>\n
My brain bursting with ideas, oh so bold!<\/p>\n
But alas, as soon I sat in my seat,<\/p>\n
My pen refused to move, and my ideas incomplete<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The professor’s voice was soothing and calm,<\/p>\n
But my creativity was like a ticking time bomb<\/p>\n
Unwrapping to strangers and\u00a0 my mind was blank,<\/p>\n
My ideas in fear just sank.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The class discussed plot, theme, and style,<\/p>\n
But my thoughts were all jumbled, mile by mile.<\/p>\n
\u00a0I tried to force the words onto the page,<\/p>\n
But they refused to flow, no matter the rage.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Finally, I turned in my essay where I talk about my life,<\/p>\n
Hoping the professor wouldn’t ask me to read it out loud.<\/p>\n
But I had to read it, so I melted like butter in contact with a hot knife<\/p>\n
\u00a0After I finished it looked like I impressed the crowd<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
I’ll continue to write, despite my fear,<\/p>\n
And hope that my ideas will someday be clear.<\/p>\n
In this creative writing class, it’s not just for the grade,<\/p>\n
But the weaknesses and memories, to be written and displayed.<\/p>\n
